This year's workshop is over. Check back soon for next year's dates as well as photos from this year's participants and a special "behind the scenes" area.
Located in the pristine 6-million acre Adirondack State Park, this 3 day workshop is focused on inspiring photographers interested in the "mise en scene" or narrative style of photography to create images with your own voice where every element of the scene contributes to it's meaning. With the Adirondack wilderness as your backdrop and limiting the workshop to 8 people, there will be ample opportunity to shoot epic natural settings, and also vast amounts of abandonment, including the dilapidated remains of an iron ore mill once owned by Benedict Arnold.
Unlike most workshops that seem to end anticlimactically with a short review of each attendee's results, this workshop finishes with a group exhibit at a local contemporary art space [ 7444 Gallery ] complete with an opening reception, press, local artist and members of this very unique community.
